DB Priester Signed

The Toronto Argonauts have signed American, Robert Priester, a 5’9, 180lb defensive back out of Wyoming.

Priester spent 2018 with Winnipeg, dressing in two games with one start at field corner. He would spend a short period of time with Edmonton the following year, and then his hometown Tampa Bay Vipers (XFL) the next.

The Bombers brought Priester back this year, but he was cut a few days ago.

In Toronto, Priester will be competing for the backup field corner job behind Jalen Collins. He’s not a big corner, but he’s ridiculously quick, has good strength, and is a great contributor in run support. Priester has to be considered a long shot to make the roster at this point, but someone on this site once said that about Jamal Peters and now he’s the starting boundary corner.
