DaVaris Returns

The Toronto Argonauts are brining back their most high-profile wide receiver from 2021. On Monday, the club agreed to terms on an extension with DaVaris Daniels for the coming season. The 29-year-old Daniels hauled in 51 passes for 597 yards and four touchdowns in 13 games played this past year.

Daniels had modest offensive numbers by his standards, but his four touchdowns were all absolute highlights including his 360-highpoint in the Hamilton sunset which was the #1 play of the year on the Xs and Argos Top 50 Countdown.

Daniels also showed off his range this season, moving inside from his traditional X position when Eric Rogers was injured. Over two games in the slot, Daniels caught 14 balls for 148 yards.
