Carnell IV Back From Hamilton

The Argos have brought back 5’10”, 180lb American DB Maurice Carnell IV with the hope that his second stint with the club will last a lot longer than the first.

Carnell spent only a week with the Argonauts back in 2018, then found himself on and off the Hamilton Tiger-Cats roster between 2019-2021.

Carnell was used primarily as a corner at DII North Alabama. In his junior and senior seasons, Carnell tallied 64 tackles, broke up 20 passes, and snagged six interceptions, returning one for a touchdown.

He was only active for one game during his time in Hamilton and didn’t register any stats as he worked on transitioning to halfback. In practice, the Tiger-Cats moved him around quite a bit, but the majority of his defensive snaps came at boundary half.
