Camp and Preseason: Guelph

The Toronto Argonauts officially announced today they will call the University of Guelph home for their June 3rd preseason game against Hamilton, as well as the entirety of training camp, which gets underway next week.

Alumni Stadium and the surrounding practice fields and facilities were the preseason home for the Argos last year as well. Clearly the experience was a positive one.

“We love it at the University of Guelph,” Coach Dinwiddie confirmed. “The facilities, the accommodations, the food, the hospitality from staff is as professional as any place I’ve been. We are thrilled to be back for camp this year, as well as hosting our preseason game against Hamilton at Alumni Stadium.”

Fans will be welcomed back to training camp this season, though there will be some closed practices as well. In terms of planning a trip to Guelph to check out camp, the organization has stated they’ll announce closed practices at least a day in advance.

Toronto’s preseason begins in Ottawa in three weeks, which means there are a lot of important dates coming up soon:

May 11: Rookies and quarterbacks report.

May 14: Rosters are reduced to 85.

May 15: Training camps open fully.

May 17: Rosters are trimmed to 75.

May 27: Toronto at Ottawa – 7:30pm

June 3: Hamilton at Toronto – 7:30pm (Alumni Stadium – University of Guelph)
